I am unsure if this can be classified as a nightmare or a dream, but last night, I dreamed about exploring an old, abandoned house in our backyard in the middle of a rice field. The house had a red roof and a yellow body. , my two brothers, a girl and a boy (who I don't know in real life), went inside the house to explore what was inside since the house was rumored to be from around the time when the Japanese occupied the country (World War 2). The house has goods and vintage things from around the 1930s to 1970s. We explored inside the house while I was taking pictures of the vintage objects we found inside using my camera app, "Kapi." As we explored, we stumbled into an old altar cabinet near the two closed rooms inside the house. I took a picture of the cabinet altar when I checked the preview of the image, I felt fear. I felt fear because there were two people right in front of the cabinet altar with their faces covered with dirty pink cloth that looked similar to what the nurses from Silent Hill were wearing. I swear, there were no people in front of the cabinet altar when I took pictures that's why I have goosebumps while looking at the preview of the image I took. But despite feeling scared, I shrugged it off and went near the cabinet altar. When I got near the cabinet altar, I felt dizzy. I almost lost consciousness as if I felt that there was some unseen entity trying to possess me but failed to do so. I panicked and asked my brother and the people with us to go out of the house immediately because we were not alone there. When we finally got out of the house, my nose started bleeding. I tried wiping it off but it still bleeds that's where I felt scared while wiping my nose as we slowly went away from the house. We told my father about it and he scolded us to not go back to that house again because it's haunted. My nose kept bleeding while we were talking about the house. The next day, me and my bf and the two people who went to the house the other day with me joined us for a trip to a school where while walking, I told my bf that at the edge of the school, there was a cliff, and below the cliff is a river directly connected to the sea. We went near the cliff except for the girl and the boy who kept walking near it. The boy slipped and fell off. I panicked. I asked the girl to call for help but instead of doing what I told her, she smiled and walked away, saying that the boy deserved to drown and die. The night after the incident, I was bothered by the recent sequence of events that happened. I was also aware that it was all a dream. That's when a girl showed up and told me that I was being followed by the two unseen entities from the abandoned house that I had explored yesterday. She told me she could cast something that could help ward them off while I gave her the info about the two beings who showed in the pic I took inside the house. I showed her the preview of the pic and that's when she told me that they're not the normal beings that she expected. I don't know what they were exactly because I woke up before she could give me a hint or explanation about those two entities that showed in the pic that I took inside the abandoned house.
Your dream is rich with symbolism, emotions, and narratives that intertwine your subconscious fears and experiences. Let's break it down into several layers for a deeper interpretation:
Exploration of the Abandoned House: The house in your dream represents the inner workings and memories of your mind. Abandoned houses often symbolize repressed feelings or past experiences that you've neglected. The fact that it is in your backyard could indicate that these feelings, experiences, or memories are close to you, perhaps indicative of issues in your life that you haven't fully explored or addressed.
The Old Altar and Vintage Objects: Discovering vintage items from the era of World War II suggests a connection to historical memories and perhaps unresolved issues related to the past. The altar cabinet could symbolize a place of sacrifice or perhaps a reminder of past burdens. Your interest in taking pictures reflects a desire to document and understand these experiences, yet the fear upon discovering the two hidden figures indicates that there are aspects of your past or psyche that you may find unsettling.
Fear and Dizziness: Your feelings of fear and dizziness upon viewing the photograph can symbolize the overwhelming nature of confronting your inner fears or unresolved trauma. The dizzying sensation may suggest that you feel disoriented or unsteady when facing these buried emotions, indicative of a struggle with your past or a reluctance to confront distressing memories.
Nosebleed: Blood often symbolizes life force, vitality, and emotional release. A nosebleed can signal that you are feeling overwhelmed, possibly “bleeding out” emotionally from the stress of the past. The continual bleeding while discussing the house may indicate that these are issues that require attention and healing.
Incident at the Cliff: The scene with the cliff and the boy falling represents a deeper anxiety or fear of losing control in your life. The girl’s response, indicating that he "deserved" to drown, may reflect feelings of betrayal or a sense of moral conflict you have with either your relationships or situations in your life. Her dismissiveness might symbolize feelings of helplessness or abandonment in your waking life.
Unseen Entities: The appearance of the two entities, indicative of a haunting presence, suggests that you may have unresolved issues that you feel are following you. Their encounter signifies manifestations of fear, guilt, or trauma that you haven’t fully processed. The fact that they have become “attached” to you suggests a need to confront these hidden feelings rather than allow them to linger.
The Girl Offering Help: The girl who appears to offer aid signifies a part of yourself seeking clarity and resolution. She represents a hope for guidance and a desire to understand the fears that these entities embody. Her mention that these beings are not "normal" could suggest that the fears or issues you are dealing with are complex and may require deeper introspection.
Awareness of it Being a Dream: Your awareness that it was all just a dream can imply a level of self-awareness about your current state of mind. It indicates a desire to escape the entanglements of your subconscious fears, yet the urgency of the narrative suggests that these unresolved issues demand confrontation, not avoidance.
In conclusion, your dream reflects a complex tapestry of your current emotional state. It invites you to explore deeply rooted fears, unresolved trauma, and the need for healing. Consider taking time to reflect on these emotions in your waking life, perhaps through journaling or therapy, to better understand and work through the subconscious material that your dream brings to light.
